Dr. Rob Wishart is a lecturer in the Department of Anthropology, University of Aberdeen. He has worked with Gwich’in and Ojibwe First Nations on questions of colonialism and wildlife management and is interested in the way Boas theorised human-environment relationships. His current research on local understandings vs. state imaginaries of domestication in the Canadian context is also influencing his research with the Boas papers.
